trellising system


The trellising system is a special support designed to devide the weight of the crops over the entire growing area, with the help of columns, 4mm transverse cables supporting the columns and an additional cables system supporting the transverse cables from the trusses. Support accessories and plant clamps are attached to the wires, including plastic or metal hangers, with plastic wires connected to the growing plants by rings. Rollerhook is a simple-to operate device suitable for 3-4 growing seasons that can save up to 50% of trellising time and significantly cut labor costs. Rollerhook clamps on a wire and assures good control of supporting line length as the plants grows.

  • drip greenhouse irrigation system
The irrigation system for the greenhouse project is designed according to two main parameters:
* Maximum water requirements of the vegetables
* Continuous water supply for flushing of the processed coconut bedding
The irrigation system in each greenhouse is operated by electric/hydraulic valves. The valve operation system is controlled by a computerized remote control system which also offers comprehensive information on the fertigation system status at any given moment.
The above system can control the irrigation system by either supplying the water requirements at one time or by dividing it into short irrigation pulses according to cultivation requirements. The irrigation system operates together with the fertilization system. The dissolved fertilizers are injected into the irrigation water and controlled by the computerized control system.
  • Movable nurseries irrigation boom
Mobile irrigation boom ensures good seedling development by automatic and uniform irrigation of the entire surface of the gable without any pressure loss due to the rolling up of the hose.

  • coco peat grow bag
Coco peat (coir, coir fiber pith) is used as a soil substitute composed of shredded parts of coconut husk (cocos-nucifea), and doesn't contain any soilborne diseases. Coco peat comes in compressed blocks and different sized growing bags while its main advantages is growth control and management, and cost saving.
  • plastic plant beds
Plant beds made of polypropylene sheets offer a versatile and economic solution for soilless cultivation. The plant beds have sturdy construction, they are resistant to chemicals and UV radiation, suitable for all growing media and retain their shape through steam sterilization. The plant beds have 5 year guarantee against UV damage, and are simple to assembly.
  • ground cover
A woven polypropylene cloth with combined colors (outer white (85%) and inside black (85%) is strong, flexible and blocks the light transmission. The white side is used uppermost in order to reflect sun rays onto the plant foliage and thereby improve its growth. The black side is used as groundcover to prevent weed growth in the paths of gardens and plant nurseries. It is used for the growth of plants in a soilless medium and other applications, where there is a need for porous cloth which blocks the light.

computer control system



  • computerizing and head control
The computer head control will be connected by command cables to the climate control systems (through the electric board) to irrigation and fertigation systems. The computer head control will give operating command according to the basic operating plan that will be programmed on the computer. A meteorological station attached to the computer allows to the computer head control to operate according to emergency programs in case of extreme weather conditions.
  • electrical panel board
The electrical board is made of waterproof polyester. Each board is protected with a full automated switch and assembled with a reverse three-phase or single-phase power controller and phase adjustment, including watt-, ampere- and hertz-meter. The board includes suction fan, air vent and lighting, preparation for a computer, service sockets on the board, main power switches etc. The electric installation takes into account metal cables that carry the electric cables to the gear motors, air fans and heating system (and thermal screen in case it is included in the project). All electric cables: double isolation. Each motor: nearby on/off switch. The main metal electrical board will be located in the central greenhouse entrance.

  • circulation fans

Operation of ventilators for air circulating in the greenhouse creates a stream of constantly recycled air around the plants, creating even distribution of heat and homogenous temperature. Circulation fans contribute to removal of humidity clouds and economical use of agrochemicals, prevent leaf drying and reduce heat in open greenhouses.
  • exhaust fans

Exhaust fans are used for forced ventilation and desiccation of excess humidity. The fans work on centrifugal axles that automatically open the fan covers when they are activated and close them when the fans cease to operate.
  • thermal screen

The net is designed especially for internal use to be spread permanently as a ceiling beneath greenhouse roofs, or to be installed as a moveable thermal screen. Used in a broad variety of crops. The net prevents irradiation damage in plants and fruits, reduces heat in greenhouses during hot days and is very efficient for energy conservation in winter. Knitted in widths of up to 8.4 m. Other widths are available upon request. Available with drawstrings for suspended installations and movable screens. Flexible, light, strong and easy to spread. Recyclable and UV resistant.
  • heating system

* water heating system
Water heating system is designed for ΔT18°C inside, taking into account thermal screen and boiler room location. Heating system includes necessary piping in the greenhouse: water distribution piping, radiant tubes, gutter heating tubes, main boilers, distribution of heat-causing water, but doesn't include the boiler rooms. The system runs on gas or fuel oil, made to order.
* hot air heating system
Hot air heating system is designed for extreme temperatures of -18°C. Heating system includes: Advanced hot air generator + blower located at the greenhouse balcony, Perforated spread sleeves: hot air is circulated in the greenhouse by means of perforated spread sleeves placed on the ground in the service points + gutter sleeves. This method of circulating the air assures uniform temperature throughout the greenhouse.
  • CO2 hanging burners system

CO2 distribution depends mainly on air movement within the greenhouse. When a single source of CO2 is used for a large surface area or several connecting greenhouses, it is recommended to install a distribution system for even distribution of CO2. Air circulation using horizontal airflow fans or fan-jet systems provide uniform distribution by moving large volumes of air within the greenhouse when top vents are closed or exhaust fans are not operational.
  • cooling pads

Cooling pads combined with fans ensure substantially lower temperatures and increased humidity. Proper temperature and humidity levels are calculated based on greenhouse size and location, environmental conditions, cooling pad size and fans quantity.
